Managing International Calls

Toll fraud is unfortunately an assumed risk in the telecommunications arena. Although Binary Networks implements detected and mitigation strategies to reduce the risk of fraud and lessen the potential financial impact of that risk, we cannot completely eliminate the potential for fraudulent activity. The ultimate responsibility to avoid this fraud resides with each client, who must take an active role in helping to keep their services and equipment secure from potential security breaches.

We recommend that if you do not need to make international calls as a result of doing business, that international calls be blocked as a default.

To assist you in managing your international traffic, countries have been classified as A,B,C,D based upon the risk of the toll fraud.

    You understand and agree that any call that has :
    originated or passed through customer's equipment;
    has occurred as a result of compromised SIP credentials;
    or has been made due to any negligence on behalf of the customer (including failure to secure computer networks or systems);

    then the customer is responsible for all charges associated with the call, whether the call was authorised or not. This means that if you are the victim of toll fraud, you are liable for the costs and waive the right to dispute any call charges associated with these international calls.

    If you have selected the LIMITED International call profile, you understand and agree that the blocked destination list is not exhaustive and may change from time to time. A limited profile may reduce the cost of toll fraud however may not limit the risk of toll fraud completely. You will still be liable for any unauthorised calls.
