Tell me more about SIP Trunking
Basically, SIP trunks are telephone lines delivered over a network (such as the Internet) using the SIP protocol.
Using this SIP standard protocol, VoIP service providers can connect one or more VoIP lines to your telephone system (PBX).
Phone numbers (called DIDs) are linked to the SIP trunk and telephone numbers can usually be ported to your SIP trunk.
A DID (Direct Inward Dial) is a telephone number that people can call you on. You can have one or many telephone numbers linked to your PBX.
We support number portability so that you can in most cases retain your telephone number when you switch to Binary Networks.
Lower monthly fees - SIP Lines are substantially cheaper than traditional PSTN lines. You can also add numbers (DIDs) at a much lower cost.
Lower call charges – Your calls are terminated on our business grade VoIP network and result in lower call costs than Fixed Line (PSTN).
Simple to manage - Changes to your service can be made quickly and easily with minimal investment and fuss.
Better business promotion - Geographic telephone numbers can be issued from a variety of locations around Australia - even if your business isn't located nearby.
Better portability - VoIP services are not tied down to a location. You can simply move your telephone system and your phone numbers will move with you. No call diversion costs.
Better continuity - if your office is unavailable, you can easily divert calls to another telephone number or office as necessary.
Be more productive - Modern IP based PBX (telephone) systems have a range of features to better manage your staff and your telephone calls.
